Izalco - Arce 59-70 An interesting game for Arce (7-3) which played road game in Izalco against 4th ranked Izalco (1-9). Second ranked Arce managed to get a 11-point victory 70-59. Worth to mention a great performance of center Teodoro Romero (202-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 34 rebounds and 5 blocks. Guard Oscar Grande (175-1) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Erick Tobar (188-96) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Samuel Leon (173-93) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Izalco. Arce have an impressive five-game winning streak. Despite that victory Arce went down to third position due to points difference. Izalco lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with nine games lost. Arce are looking forward to face league's leader San Marcos at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Izalco will play against Nejapa (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals. At the losing side forward Julio Ramirez (175-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Felipe Cortez (175-95) scored 14 points. Juayua have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-2 record behind leader San Marcos. Nejapa at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Juayua will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nejapa will play at home against Izalco (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
